Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo concedes it could be a difficult Italian GP for Ferrari as the team is not its "best."
Di Montezemolo headed over to the Monza circuit on Saturday, sitting on the pit wall as practice and later qualifying took place. And he was not very happy with what he saw.
Fernando Alonso was the best-placed Ferrari driver in qualifying, grabbing fourth place, 0.566s down on Sebastian Vettel, while Felipe Massa was almost a full second off the pace.
"Monza is always special, but considering the first results it does not seem that we are at our best," di Montezemolo told AGI.
The Italian, though, is hoping for an improvement come Sunday.
"We will comment on the results on Sunday evening. I saw motivated people so let's hope to give satisfaction to our fans."
