Lewis Hamilton may have come off second best in qualifying, however, the Brit says he's not fazed as Sunday is when it really counts.
Hamilton has been impressive in Abu Dhabi this weekend, setting the pace in two of the three practice sessions while his team-mate Jenson Button topped the other.
The 2008 World Champ seemed to carry that pace through into qualifying where he dominated the first two segments.
However, in Q3, when it really mattered, he fell short, losing out to Sebastian Vettel by 0.141s.
The McLaren driver, though, was still buoyed by his performance as it was a marked improvement on his showing at the previous race in India.
"It was a good session for me and a good couple of days," said the 26-year-old.
"We've had quite a good couple of days and made quite a big improvement, from the last race at least.
"We were quick in qualifying. The car is feeling good. Just at the end, that was as fast as I was able to go on that lap. It was not particularly great. That's the way it is.
"Well done to Sebastian. He did a great lap."
He added: "The race is tomorrow and that's most important day."
